WP1 – Carbon harvest
Pre-filtration technology, production and prioritization of the valuable resource of carbon is the core element of WP1. In the coming years, Salsnes technology is expected to be widely used in both major and smaller wastewater treatment plants by making it economically and environmentally beneficial to harvest carbon on smaller wastewater treatment plants for gas utilization in large-scale wastewater treatment plants.
The project will specifically contribute with knowledge about options for optimization of wastewater treatment plants. Generally, an increased demand and export of advanced online control is expected, including special online control of the carbon harvesting to optimize the energy and CO2 balance.
